Am 19.04.2023 fand die diesjährige Mitgliederversammlung der Europäischen Bildungs- und Begegnungszentren (EBZ) in der Villa Palagione Centro Interculturale, Volterra, statt. Sie ist mit über 25 Jahren - nach dem EBZ Gaeltacht - das zweitälteste Mitglied der EBZ. Diese wurden 1952 mit dem Andragogium in Ronco, Ascona, gegründet. Ergänzend zu einem historischen Film über die EBZ (bis 2013) wurde die lange Geschichte dieser europäischen Bildungseinrichtungen vorgestellt . Ein Film über einen EBZ-Studienaufenthalt als Bildungsurlaub in Irland zeigte aktuelle Politische Bildung vor Ort, wie sie von EBZ ermöglicht wird.
In der MV wurden nach den formalen Vereinsregularien die Ergebnisse des vorangegangenen EBZ-Zukunftsworkshops behandelt. Sie sollen bis Anfang 2024 von einer Arbeitsgruppe aus den EBZ zu konkreten Vorschlägen entwickelt werden. Diese liegen dann der MV zur Beschlussfassung vor. 2024 wird der bisherige Vorstand nicht mehr für die Wiederwahl zur Verfügung stehen. Neue EU-Projekte sind ab Herbst 2024 geplant. Nach potentiellen Mitgliedern wird weiterhin gesucht, die über geeignete Zentren im Sinne der EBZ-Ziele verfügen. Die nächste MV findet vom 25.-28.4.2024 im EBZ FIEF, Frankreich, statt.
MEMBERS MEETING 2023 IN VILLA PALAGIONE, VOLTERRA
On April, 19th 2023, this year's General Assembly of the European Culture and communication centers/ Europäische Bildungszentren (EBZ) took place in Villa Palagione Centro Interculturale, Volterra. It is the second oldest member of the EBZ after EBZ Gaeltacht with over 25 years . These were founded in 1952 with the Andragogium in Ronco, Ascona. Complementing a historical film about the EBZ (until 2013), the long history of these European educational institutions was presented . A film about an EBZ study visit in Ireland showed current political education on site as facilitated by EBZ.
After the formal rules of the association, the results of the previous EBZ future workshop were discussed at the general meeting. They are to be developed into specific proposals by a working group from the EBZ by the beginning of 2024. These will then be presented to the member meeting for decision-making. In 2024, the current board will no longer be available for re-election. New EU projects are planned from autumn 2024. We are still looking for potential members who have suitable centres in the sense of the EBZ goals. The next member meeting will take place from 25-28.4.2024 in the EBZ FIEF, France.
