Vom 17.-21.04.2023 fand in Volterra (Toskana) eine Bildungsurlaubswoche für rund 30 Mitarbeitende, Kursleitende und Ehrenamtliche aus verschiedenen europäischen Bildungsrichtungen statt. Im Fokus des Programms stand Zukunftsfähigkeit und Nachhaltigkeit von Bildungseinrichtungen im Kontext Europäischer Bildungsprogramme und Bildungspolitik. In verschiedenen Workshops diskutierten die Teilnehmenden die Herausforderungen hinsichtlich neuer Raum- und Bildungskonzepte und Qualifizierungsanforderungen an die Organisationen. Neben dem Themenschwerpunkt Bildung für Nachhaltige Entwicklung wurden Europäische Programme, deren Fördermöglichkeiten in den jeweiligen Ländern und good practice Beispiele bearbeitet. In einer Zukunftswerkstatt wurden Szenarien bearbeitet, Erwartungen von Teilnehmenden erörtert und Standortfragen geklärt. Zudem wurden Kooperationsmöglichkeiten der beteiligten Organisationen thematisiert und Visionen eines starken europäischen Netzwerks von Bildungseinrichtungen entwickelt.

Um die besondere Geschichte der Bildungseinrichtung Villa Palagione und ihre Einbettung in die Region besser zu verstehen, standen Stadtführungen und Begegnungen mit Kommunalvertretern von Volterra und Livorno auf dem Programm.

Successful Erasmus+ Week in Italy: Learning from each other in Europe

From 17-21.04.2023 an Erasmus+ week took place in Volterra (Tuscany) for about 30 employees, course leaders and volunteers from different European educational backgrounds. The program focused on the future viability and sustainability of educational institutions in the context of European educational programs and policies. In different workshops, the participants discussed the challenges regarding new spatial and educational concepts and qualification requirements for the organizations. In addition to the thematic focus on Education for Sustainable Development, European programs, their funding opportunities in the respective countries and good practice examples were worked on. In a future workshop scenarios were worked on, expectations of participants were discussed and location questions were clarified. In addition, cooperation possibilities of the participating organizations were discussed and visions of a strong European network of educational institutions were developed.

In order to better understand the special history of the educational institution Villa Palagione and its embedding in the region, guided tours of the city and meetings with municipal representatives from Volterra and Livorno were part of the program.
